Themes

Hello All! Petr, I appreciated your suggestion that we set up a "new/different/altered" theme for our books. I'm thinking about starting a new one altogether and pondering themes. I was curious what others were considering as the theme for their sketchbooks. I'd love to hear all of your thoughts.

    Hi John, I'm glad you're in - I decided to go with my idea I shared at the conference - In the back pocket of my book you'll find a couple small sized images. You'll than have to pick one and incorporate it in your piece - make it a central part of it or peripheral - no other themes.

    Themes I witnessed in past and which I thought worked well are wide and broad - rich in interpretation possibilities - such as Journey, Escape, Magic, Little things in Life, Pattern, Beginning, Water ...

    Wow, yeah, there are some you suggest at the end which feel really powerful and inspiring: journey, escape, little things in life. I had forgotten about the "pocket" idea. I'm going to give that some thought as well. Thanks!
